A tiny bit about us:
Petra Mobile Dog Grooming is more than just a business to the father and son duo Lameck and Thabo,who started off working in the boot of their car but with the vote of confidence from clients eventually built a trailer which has becomes the home for all doggies where they strive to leave smiles on the owners faces and dogs looking their very best

Dog grooming is an essential aspect of pet care that involves maintaining the hygiene and appearance of your canine companion. Regular grooming not only keeps your dog clean and comfortable but also helps prevent certain health issues.

Baths & Coat Care

We bathe your dog: If necessary, give your dog a bath using a mild dog shampoo. Thoroughly rinse out the shampoo to avoid any residue on the skin.

Cuts & Trims

We carefully trim your dog's nails using proper dog nail clippers. Be cautious not to cut too close to the quick, as it can cause bleeding and discomfort.

Ears & Nails

We check and clean the ears: Inspect your dog's ears for any signs of infection or irritation. If needed, gently clean the outer ear using a dog-specific ear cleaner.

Styling

We dry your dog: After bathing, dry your dog using a towel or a pet dryer on a low setting. Ensure they are completely dry, especially in the hard-to-reach areas.

Gold-star Luxury Soak

We give your dog a bath using a mild dog shampoo., thoroughly rinse out the shampoo to avoid any residue on the skin.

Grooming & Styling

  • We prepare workspace with good lighting and necessary tools.
  • We brush your dog's coat with the right tool for their fur type to remove tangles and loose hair.
  • We check your dog's ears for infection or irritation. Clean them with dog ear cleaner if needed.
  • We trim your dog's nails with care, using appropriate clippers, being mindful to avoid cutting too close to the quick, which can cause discomfort and bleeding.
  • We bathe dog with mild shampoo, rinse well to prevent residue.

Baths & Coat Care

Brush your dog’s coat to remove loose hair and mats using the right tool.

Petra Mobile Dog Grooming have been my dogs groomers for a number of years and I can honestly say, ‘they are fantastic!’ My older dog was handled with such gentleness and care, lovingly washed and dried, with the dreaded nail clipping done without him even noticing! Lameck groomed my dogs for 4 years. Holly is a lab/retriever cross and Max was a pekinese/maltese cross. After Max passed away, we got Charlie, a labrador mixed breed. All 3 of our dogs were treated with the utmost care, love and gentleness by Lameck and he did the most excellent work in washing and grooming them! They were so comfortable with Lameck and never exhibited signs of stress. Lameck became part of our family and our young son looked so forward to his 6 weekly visits as he would spend time chatting to Lameck while he worked. I cannot recommend Lameck enough, he is a true gentleman with the most wonderful work ethic and a huge, warm heart. Sadly we have emigrated to Ireland, otherwise he would still be grooming our babies. We miss him enormously, just for the amazing person he is…thankfully we’re still in touch!
